HAVE YOUR SAY

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community in Eccleshall as we prepare our outline planning application for an infrastructure-led new neighbourhood of high-quality homes, new health centre, primary school and extensive public open spaces.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive concept masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midday on Friday 27th June 2025 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit our outline planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Stafford Borough Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

Do you welcome our infrastructure-led approach to development, providing crucial community infrastructure alongside new homes to help meet housing need in the Borough?

What is your priority for new homes in Eccleshall?

At least 30% of the new homes would be affordable homes, enabling key workers and people on low incomes to secure a home of their own in Eccleshall. Is this important to you?

We have incorporated the provision of specialist older people’s housing into the development. Do you welcome this?

Do you welcome the provision of a serviced site for a new health centre, providing an opportunity for the Crown Surgery to relocate and expand from the High Street into purpose-built, modern facilities?

Do you welcome the provision of a new primary school on the east side of the town?

Access to the new neighbourhood will be taken from Stafford Road and Stone Road, with a new spine road linking the two. Is the provision of this new vehicular link important to you?

The new homes will be built to Future Homes Standard, delivering a neighbourhood of net zero carbon-ready homes. Is this important to you?

Existing high value habitats such as mature trees and the majority of hedgerows will be retained, bolstered by extensive additional planting to significantly increase tree cover across the site, delivering biodiversity net gain of at least 10%. Is this important to you?

We are conscious of wider local concerns relating to flooding in parts of Eccleshall. The sustainable drainage system proposed to manage surface water runoff from the development will be designed to ensure no impact on the surrounding area, and where possible deliver an improvement to existing drainage. Is this important to you?

Are you, or is anyone you know, seeking a new home in Eccleshall?

Do you have any other comments or suggestions?
