In light of the significantly increased housing targets from Government for Stafford Borough, what is your priority for the growth of Eccleshall over the next 15 years?

We are exploring the potential to include specialist older people’s housing as part of the development, enabling older residents to receive the care and support they need while continuing to live independently in Eccleshall. Is this something you would welcome?

It is intended that new homes for Eccleshall would be net zero carbon ready. This means a gas-free development with all homes incorporating air source heat pumps, PV cells, uprated insulation and EV charging infrastructure. Is this important to you?

We are conscious of wider local concerns relating to flooding in parts of Eccleshall. The site is not subject to river flooding and the proposed Masterplan avoids built development in the very small, localised areas of surface water flood risk on site. The sustainable urban drainage system proposed to manage surface water runoff from the development will be designed to ensure no impact on the surrounding area, and where possible deliver an improvement to existing drainage. Is this important to you?

We are not currently proposing shops in the development, as we are conscious of the importance of protecting and boosting footfall to businesses on the High Street and the garden centre neighbouring the site. Do you think this is the right approach?

Are you, or is anyone you know, seeking a new home Eccleshall?

Do you have any other comments or suggestions?
