We asked: What is your priority for new homes in Eccleshall?
You said:
Our response:
We envisage including a wide range of house-types, including all of those identified in the survey. This reflects the broad range of responses in the community survey.
We asked: In light of the significantly increased housing targets from Government for Stafford Borough, what is your priority for the growth of Eccleshall over the next 15 years?
You said:
Our response:
We agree that it is preferable to deliver holistic development, including tangible infrastructure planned in from the outset. Our proposals for Eccleshall will deliver a new primary school and a new health centre with associated parking for the Crown Surgery, in addition to new homes. We have also included specialist older people’s housing in response to survey feedback.
We asked: We are exploring the potential to include specialist older people’s housing as part of the development, enabling older residents to receive the care and support they need while continuing to live independently in Eccleshall. Is this something you would welcome?

Our response:
We have now incorporated specialist older people’s housing into our outline plans in response to this feedback.
We asked: It is intended that new homes for Eccleshall would be net zero carbon ready. This means a gas-free development with all homes incorporating air source heat pumps, PV cells, uprated insulation and EV charging infrastructure. Is this important to you?
You said:
Our response:
All homes at our proposed development, including affordable homes, will be net zero carbon-ready. All homes will be equipped with air source heat pumps, solar panels, uprated insulation and EV charging infrastructure.
We asked: We are not currently proposing shops in the development, as we are conscious of the importance of protecting and boosting footfall to businesses on the High Street and the garden centre neighbouring the site. Do you think this is the right approach?
You said:
Our response:
We have decided not to include any shops within the development, instead focussing on boosting footfall to existing businesses in the town and also the garden centre neighbouring the site.
